Research & Evidence

Research built with communities, not on them

MCSA's research work centers the experiences and contributions of migrants in the co-production of knowledge — creating participatory pathways for those traditionally underrepresented in research and decision-making.

Our approach

MCSA's research is grounded in a critical understanding of the Eurocentric, Western-centered and androcentric traditions that have shaped scientific knowledge and institutions. We work to open space for perspectives and experiences that have historically been overlooked — including those of migrant women and gender minorities — and to broaden whose knowledge is recognized and who can contribute to its production.

Research is stronger when it is built with the people it seeks to understand.
